CAMRA campaigns represent the interests of those who appreciate decent real ale and decent pubs. CAMRA believes that these are an important part of the British way of life, and an important part of our heritage. Within our branch area are many pubs with interesting histories most of which are either protected with a listed status or within one of our numerous conservation areas. Lichfield city centre, Tamworth town centre and Atherstone Long Street all have major conservation areas in which many pubs are located. Lichfield, Sutton and Tamworth Branch will work closely with historic and civic societies as well as our Local Authority Conservation Officers and English Heritage in order to protect and promote our national heritage through the pub as an important part of the British way of life. An exciting new venture is presently being undertaken to take this area of our work further forward. Click here to visit the website established for this project.
